Detailed Description
Inspired by the intricacies of glacial formation, this Special Edition advances that unique history in support of the Seiko "Save the Ocean" campaign, dedicated to marine conservation. The patterned deep blue dial, reflecting the thickness of glacier ice, offers a date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers, and is framed by a black uni-directional rotating elapsed timing bezel. With a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, the 24-jewel automatic movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, and provides manual winding capability. Crafted of stainless steel with super-hard coating, this superbly functional timepiece features a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, and a screwdown crown and caseback, and follows ISO standards for scuba diving to depths of up to 200 meters.
