Detailed Description
Offering the finest in Japanese mechanical watchmaking, the Presage Collection blends precision technology with superior craftsmanship and design. Joining the coolly angular Sharp-Edged Series, celebrating the fresh look of contemporary Japanese design, this exceptional Limited Edition is available only in a controlled production run of 2,000 with the serial number engraved on each caseback. Expressing "Akebono," the dawn, with its sense of new expectations, this stunning timepiece is inspired by the morning twilight, as the sky brightens with the sunrise. The three-dimensional, gloss coated, multi-layered dial, in rich gradated sapphire blue, framed by a black GMT bezel, includes rose gold accents to suggest the first glimmers of sun, as does the sharp sunray-like form of the markers and second hand. With 24-hour GMT hand, power reserve indicator, date display, and LumiBrite hands and markers, the dial also features the Presage Sharp-Edged Series' Asanoha hemp-leaf motif, a symbol of growth and prosperity dating to the Heian Period (794-1185 AD). Crafted of stainless steel, with black hard coating, this extraordinary watch offers a 29-jewel automatic movement, with GMT complication, visible through the screwdown, see-through caseback, that beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with a power reserve of approximately 45 hours and manual winding capability.
